Octopus FoundationOctopus is an multipurpose organisation.
Our vision in addition to bringing general awareness around help-organisations, is to invite people with nepali origin to participate in building up a social network, by assisting and volunteering in humanitarian projects. As an octopus has many tentacles our purpose is also to offer advice how organisations can interact with other organisations. We believe knowledge-sharing leads to the path of awareness and can be a major key factor in resolving even the biggest matters. |
VolunteersWe truly believe that a large percentage of citizens of Nepal wants to help in voluntary social work, but actually don’t know how to commit themselves, because of the lack of transparency.
After a survey we have found out that there are numerous people who wants to spare a day a week from their work to help for a better cause. This is essentially how our vision for the organisation started. We wanted to become mediators between people who genuinely wants to help and organizations who could really use a helping hand. |
sustainabilityWe have many visions which is what Octopus stands for, yet our first and foremost vision is to offer a transparent way for nepalis to volunteer and enroll in various help organisation. We believe everyone has a value, and through collaboration we can do greater and bigger things. We are not limiting ourselves in ways of helping, rather we are always on the drawing board, in dialog or on the lookout for innovative sustainable ideas. We believe there is endless possibilities not only to make a difference, but to change the lives of those who truly need a helping hand and support.
